I joined the Women's Forum board when I was encouraged by a current Board member to get involved. As I researched what the UK Women’s Forum was all about and asked questions of current board members, I felt challenged to be a change agent for both the Women’s Forum and the University.
The most rewarding aspect has been the opportunity to meet and work with dedicated faculty and staff around campus. And it is always rewarding to be able to serve campus in a meaningful way.
For those who are considering joining, don’t be afraid to serve! The current Board members are wonderful mentors. And there are so many different ways to serve, that there is something for everyone. I hope you consider becoming a part of the UK Women’s Forum Board!
